code of ethics

This code of ethics serves to apply the spirit of the manifesto of interstitial creation as practical operating principles for ce-ci. It guides our decision-making and our relationships.

It is a living document: we re-evaluate it regularly to adapt to evolutions in our approach and in our ecosystems.

1. Forge new ways of knowing

Experimentation is essential to the emergence of new forms of knowledge, experiences, and ways of living. It must remain free from dogma and rigid frameworks, in order to open unexpected paths for understanding the world.

2. Recognize life as the primary source

We affirm our belonging to the living world and our interdependence with all forms of life, including animal, plant, mineral, fungal and microbial. Our actions and modes of production constantly reexamine our relationships with the ecosystems we are a part of.

3. Build what can’t be built alone

Collaboration is our response to the complexity of the contemporary world. Each interaction has the power to make our understanding and perspectives more accurate. Our collaborations draw from current knowledge, ancestral wisdom, and forms of knowledge that do not yet exist.

4. Stand with the uncertain

We embrace the unfinished and the emergent for their intrinsic value. The undefined is not an obstacle but a resource, not a risk, but a solid foundation.

5. Deconstruct barriers

We reject closed circles and actively seek unexplored paths to question the limits built into our systems, whether social, cultural, disciplinary or epistemic. We value intersections and hybrid forms that challenge and transcend established categories.

6. Democratize art at last

We are committed to making our work accessible to everyone and to fostering a radical democratization of art. This means creating formats and presence both for those who are inside and outside the art world.

7. Protect our freedom to act

We reject any external influence that conflicts with our values. We maintain our independence from commercial, political, and ideological interests. Our economic model is designed to safeguard our freedom of action.
