contextual artistic interventions
Objective
Create spontaneously, without a map, responding to the vacancies left by disciplines, geographies, habits or paradigms.
Methodologies
We develop independent, undisciplined creative projects rooted in the real world. Each intervention begins with attentive listening to tensions, silences and absent narratives, with the aim to bring to life sensitive and contextually grounded forms.
These projects can take many shapes, such as installations, publications, performative processes, participatory experiences, sensory environments, or embodied stories.
Our missions may include:
- Freely initiated immersive research and creation based on local interstices, visible or invisible
- Context-driven artistic interventions that engage with local gaps and tensions
- Activation of places: public spaces, vacant lots, natural sites, or cultural venues
- Collaborative projects with local communities, ecosystems, or forms of life
- Production of new critical forms, knowledge and connections linked to context
Challenges addressed
Contextual interventions respond to:
- the need for spontaneous creation beyond established frameworks
- the lack of spaces where norms, language, and boundaries can truly be questioned
- fragile or shifting contexts that require unexpected approaches
- the scarcity of artistic expressions grounded in the disorienting realities of everyday life.
Ideal for
Cultural institutions, municipalities, urban or rural actors, alternative spaces, vacant lots, research centers, or any context ready to welcome situated, responsive, un-mapped creative work.
