Exploring the spaces between art and action, language and presence, fire and care, as ways to reimagine the way we show up as artivists in the world.

Context
In November 2025, around twenty artivists will gather in the heart of nature in Burgundy, France, for an interstitial residency led by ce-ci for the Emerging Leaders Artivism Alliance.
Artivists share a practice where art and activism are deeply intertwined, working in symbiosis.

Intentions

  • To inhabit the interstices and create a space of resonance between art practice, sensitivity and political commitment, in its most noble sense.
  • To step outside the usual frameworks of performance and production, in favor of mutual listening, working in presence, and deepening creative practices together.
  • To offer a fertile zone of friction, free from logics of productivity, where practices rub against each other, respond, and renew themselves through encounter.

Format
An immersive residency in the middle of nature.
A time for interstitial research-creation, carried by a horizontal dynamic and facilitated by interstitial artists.
A flexible structure, free from bureaucratic anchors, designed as a floating space for experimentation.

Means activated

  • Reworking how we gather, shifting from tables around which we speak, to carpets on which we co-create naturally.
  • Fleeing the polish of performing in favor of a vibrant, unruly coexistence of practices.
  • Carving out spaces for deep listening, reciprocal care, and unresolved questions.
  • Embracing awe, to open up new passages between existing languages and horizons.
