An interstitial journey to explore the dynamics of emergence in the spaces in-between - between disciplines, roles, narratives, systems - as zones of fertility.
Context
In April 2025, ce-ci brought together participants from around the world – artists, researchers, activists, members of public and private institutions – for a collective adventure, immersed in Marseille and its surrounding natural areas.
Intentions
- To consciously inhabit tensions and blurry zones, not as obstacles but as places to move through.
- To weave connections between practices, perceptions and narratives, valuing nonlinear forms of learning, reflection and creation.
- To welcome what does not yet have a form, outside conventional frameworks of exchange or production.
Format
An interstitial journey designed as a situated crossing, neither a conference nor a workshop, blending sensory, artistic, reflective and relational experiences.
A shared time to sense, think and navigate the in-between – on land, in wastelands, sailing on water, in historical monuments, along the shore, and in other unexpected places awaiting us.
Means activated
Immersive visits, storytelling, navigation, walking, artistic devices, collective reflection, peer sessions and surprising encounters, around the interstices present in Marseille.
Formal and informal spaces to feel into contemporary complexity differently.
Three guiding threads:
- Resilience: bending not breaking
- Uncertainty as fertile ground
- Stories: connecting fragments
